About the event

Come hang out at everyone's favorite movie theater for everyone's favorite holiday!

The Maniacs behind Alamo's hit show, "Protected Under Parody" and the fun-size comedy of The Happy Ghost Productions bring you a Comedy Variety Show that celebrates all things Horror and Halloween. There will be sketch, video, trivia, special guests, music, candy, and a puppet or two. "There will be blood" is probably not a movie we'll talk about that night, but there WILL BE blood.

"Every year on Halloween, when the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest, a video store opens for one night only. The employees from video stores past rise from the dead to work another graveyard shift. What cursed VHS tapes will they watch? What Special guests will arrive to rent and return videotapes? How many Late Fees will the Overnight Returns Box Monster demand? What prizes will they doll out to those unlucky enough to get caught up in their cursed ritual? Be kind, rewind AND get ready for a Halloween spooktacular inside VIDEO VORTEX. It'll be Dead (Closed) by Dawn."

Special Guests: TBA (but they're incredible!)

Live Musical Performances by Tall Boy Special!

Puppets from the incredible Rachel Burson of RachelMadeStudio!

When the show's over, the party continues! Video Vortex will sway to the spooky sounds of DJ Ama B. Old School Halloween games will be played at the bar.

And a COSTUME CONTEST will award cash prizes, cool Alamo Drafthouse merch, and strange movie prize packs to BEST COSTUME, MOST CREATIVE COSTUME, and DEEPEST CUT.
